The tip is as follows: take a new roll of toilet paper and place it inside your refrigerator, and replace it after three or four weeks. According to the post, this super easy trick comes from the hotel industry that uses paper to absorb odors and keep the refrigerator cleaner.
According to Brooke Younger from House Digest, a site specializing in home and decoration, toilet paper can actually be efficient in keeping your refrigerator odor-free: “It not only absorbs liquids in contact with it; it can also remove them from the air in the environment. If you’ve ever touched the toilet paper roll in the bathroom after a hot shower, you may notice that it’s slightly damp from the steam. Placing a clean roll of toilet paper in the refrigerator will absorb some of the internal moisture and, with it, those stinky particles.”
